Comments:
The title of this one (barring punctuation) comes from Emily Dickinson.
Halvorsen is an aging archeologist working a dig on the Turkish coast, working on a controversial hypothesis that his site was inhabited before the Bronze Age. He is also feeling the effects of his increasing age. Then he starts hearing a voice in his head, a voice that claims to be from a very distant time.
